Paul J. Westfall, O.D.

Dr. Westfall grew up in Glens Falls, New York.  He graduated from Siena College in Loudonville, NY (outside of Albany) and then went on to the State University of New York, State College of Optometry in Manhattan.  After four exciting years of city life, Dr. Westfall completed a post-graduate residency program at the West Haven VA Hospital, focusing on primary eye care and low vision care.  This experience allowed him to work alongside exceptional optometrists and ophthalmologists, treating a complex variety of eye problems.  Following his residency program, Dr. Westfall practiced optometry privately in Shelton, CT with another doctor before deciding to open a new private practice in Madison with his wife and fellow optometrist, Kamaljit Singh, OD. 

Dr. Westfall is excited for the opportunity to practice on the shoreline and raise a family here.  Dr. Westfall enjoys tennis, basketball, watching the NFL, reading and exploring New England.  Since coming to Madison, Dr. Westfall has enjoyed participating in various events as a member of the Madison Lions, the Madison Jaycees and the Madison Chamber of Commerce.  Dr. Westfall is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists.

Kamal Singh, O.D. 

Dr. Kamal Singh is originally from Peru, Illinois. After completing her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois, she ventured to the East coast to attend the SUNY State College of Optometry in New York City. Dr. Singh elected to complete a post-graduate residency program at the West Haven Veteran’s hospital. While there she spent half her time in the primary eye-care clinic, and the rest of the time providing low vision care to the legally blind veterans in the Eastern Blind Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Singh then spent over two years delivering eye care to inpatients in nursing homes across the state. She is still on staff part-time at the West Haven Veteran’s Hospital, delivering care to our veterans.

Dr. Singh's professional affiliations include the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. She has also been appointed as a clinical faculty member of the New England College of Optometry, through which she is invloved with teaching optometry students at the West Haven VAMC.

Outside of optometry, Dr. Singh is the historian of the Madison Newcomer’s club, and a member of the Madison Lions Club and the Madison Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Singh has many hobbies including tennis, jogging, and going for leisurely bike rides. She also loves to
travel and enjoys anything to do with the beach- which is a big reason why she is very happy to be in Madison!

Anita Suraci, Receptionist & Technician

Anita Suraci has been with Madison Eye Care, LLC since the Fall of 2006.  She was born and raised in New Haven, and is a long-time resident of Guilford.  Anita helps to create a warm, inviting environment for our patients.  She enjoys helping in the selection of eyewear, and never minds answering questions.  Anita always keeps the candy dish well-stocked, and will make sure you have no trouble scheduling an appointment for an eye exam. 

In her spare time, Anita enjoys being with her husband, her two kids and family and friends.  She enjoys long walks on the beach, gardening, cooking and chasing after her young beagle, Roxie.

Linda Canna, Receptionist and Technician

Linda has been with Madison Eye Care, LLC since the early Summer of 2008.  She was born and raised in East Haven, and is a long-time resident of Guilford.  Linda is eager to help with the needs of our patients and is more than happy to help with your eye-care questions or to schedule an appointment.

Linda's previous background is in computer science and gemology.  Her hobbies include making jewelry.  She enjoys cooking, sailing and the beach!
